River Dunajec RafTing Trip

Dunajec is a right tributary of the Vistula, the merged White and Black Dunajec. In the area of Sromowce and Szczawnica river creates an amazing, picturesque landscape.

For all those passionate about monumental mountains, breathtaking scenery and wishing to relax surrounded by unspoilt, picturesque nature, Dunajec-river-rafting might just be the perfect way to spend a day in the Pieniny Mountains. Join our trip, be seated on a traditional raft and as you swim down the river observe the beauty of the Dunajec valley, with its high, majestic hills and unique shapes of the landscape.

You may want to spend the over 2-hour-long trip contemplating the view or allow the raftsman to enterntain you with little known facts about the area, misterious legends passed down the generations and amusing history of the place. A 15-kilometer-long route will give you an possibility to relax and get some rest, but it will also show you some mysterious places like the haunted castle in Niedzica and above all, the most picturesque region of Poland.

The route starts in Sromowce-Katy marina or in Sromowce Niżne and ends in Szczawnica Nizna or in Krościenko. Rafting takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on which route you choose. Possible routes:

• Szczawnica - route length of 18 km (10.8 mile) trip duration is approximately 2 hours 15 minutes
• Krościenko- route length of 23 km (13.8 mile) trip duration: about 2 hours 45 minutes

Boats depart after picking up at least 10 people. In the case of a smaller number of people it is possible to sail after paying the basic cost.
